Transportation

Re-Cycles Bicycle Co-op

Re-cycles bicycle co-op helps sustain the local bicycle community by providing a fully equipped do-it-yourself bike shop for use by members and volunteers to maintain their bicycles under the guidance of volunteer bike mechanics. Volunteers can also learn bike repair skills by fixing bikes donated to the shop, which would otherwise be destined for the landfill. These bikes are sold at reasonable prices, providing an affordable and sustainable means of transportation to everyone. Learning to be more self sufficient with regards to bike repairs empowers people to ride the path less traveled and make cycling a part of their daily lives.

VRTUCAR also eliminates the need for a 2nd car in the family. This service also reduces vehicle pollution by over 50% simply by driving less and reducing the number of engine start-ups.
